Requesting Student Résumés

Introduction
Employers may access résumés in the UNO Opportunities Database provided that the job posting for which the résumés are being viewed must be active in the Opportunities Database and the résumés are being used for a current open position.

Students and alumni registered with the UNO Counseling and Career Center are aware that they may be contacted by employers viewing their résumés. They are also allowed to respectfully decline any interview invitations if they are not interested in the position being advertised.

Accessing Résumés in the UNO Opportunities Database

1. Log-in to or create an account in the Opportunities Database.

2. Select "Résumé Books" from the menu bar to start your search.

3. If you do not have "Résumé Books" active in your account, then you do not have permission to search for résumés. You will need to email Adrienne Mustiful, PhD to request access. Make sure you have a job posting in the system for the position that you are searching in order to have access to résumés. We do not grant access without having a job posting for that position.

4. The Résumé Books are set-up based on specific criteria:

    • All Alumni
    • All Business Majors
    • All Engineering Majors
    • All Liberal Arts & Sciences Majors
    • All Graduating Seniors - Fall (active July - December; includes summer); Spring (active January - June)
    • All MBA's

Please note that these Résumé Books reflect the résumés of students REGISTERED with the UNO Counseling and Career Center and not every student at UNO. Also, the information entered is self-reported by the individual at the time of registration and may be out-of-date.

Restrictions & Limitations of the Database

  • Please do not use the Opportunities Database to search for candidates for part-time positions

  • Please do not use the Opportunities Database to sell anything or to look for "clients." Using our system for contact mining or a sales pitch is strictly prohibited and anyone using the system for this purpose will be banned from future use.

  • Third-party agencies will not have access to résumé searching. We do NOT under any circumstance provide résumés for third-party recruiting agencies, personnel firms, employment or staffing agencies.
