What is FreshFest?
FreshFest is an annual event that brings together local employers wishing to hire students for part-time jobs and our on campus departments wishing to hire students to work in student worker positions. The event is held during the first week of the fall semester which we call "Welcome Week." With large numbers of new students attending, FreshFest is a casual, no pressure event that provides an opportunity for our incoming students to find immediate part-time employment, if needed. It is a casual, no pressure event that brings together organizations seeking to hire college students, as well as campus organizations seeking student workers.

FreshFest is held OUTDOORS under giant "circus style" pole tents. As such, expect typical south Louisiana weather and dress comfortably---e.g., a company polo or t-shirt and shorts or khakis. Please keep in mind that our students will be wearing what their normal "classroom casual" attire, typically shorts, flip-flops and t-shirts. Fans will be blowing full-force beneath the big tops and food and drinks will be provided.

Registration
All registration for FreshFest will be handled electronically though the UNO Opportunities database. There is a $50.00 registration fee for employers participating in this event..

FreshFest Fast Facts

• FreshFest is held OUTSIDE. Please dress comfortably.
• FreshFest is a part-time jobs fair. Jobs need not be "major specific."
• Employers can bring as many representatives as they like.
• Each registered company will have one 6-ft table and two chairs.
• Please bring paperweights if you have loose handouts or use clipboards.
• Due to safety concerns, we cannot provide electricity for displays, laptops, etc.
• Students will be seeking information and job applications...but are not likely to have résumés.
• Students will likely be wearing "classroom casual" attire.
• Anywhere from 300-700 students attend the event.
• FREE food and drinks for all attendees...including employers!
