Fall Career Expo Details

HPC Building (Human Performance Center) - Corner of Elysian Fields and LC Simon on the Lakefront Campus of the University of New Orleans

Fair begins at 10 am and ends at 2 pm. There is special access to pre-registered students for the fair at 9:30 am. We are asking all employers to be set and ready to go at 9:30 am

Registration Fees

Included in all registration fees are access to meals for the event, parking on campus and an online packet of resumes of students who are attending the career fair.

$500 - Regular Registration (includes one 6ft table, chairs and up to 3 recruiters)
$250 - Non-profit, Government Fee (includes one 6ft table, chairs and up to 3 recruiters)
$100 - Late Registration Fee (after September 12, 2008)
$20 - Each additional recruiter

$20 - Electrical access availability
$100 - Additional Tables

*Wireless internet will be available in the venue space.

$1500 - VIP Employer Registration Fee

Includes a carpeted, pipe-and-draped "trade show style" booth in the middle of the Expo floor. You will be identified as an elite employer as you will be "center stage" during the Career Expo. Electrical access and a student concierge assistant for the day. VIP Employers will also have logo advertisement on all signs and other promotional materials on campus.

Only 10 VIP Registrations available - Deadline to register as a VIP Employer is August 29, 2008

2. To be guaranteed space at the Fall Career Expo - September 19, 2008

$100 - Late Registration Fee ( if registering after September 12, 2008)

University Profile/Career Fair Profile

The University of New Orleans is a 4-year, high research, doctoral granting institution. Our colleges and research centers include: Business, Liberal Arts, Education, Engineering, Sciences and General Studies.

Since Hurricane Katrina, the university has suffered a loss in enrollment, but that has rebounded over the past few years. We expect to see at least 400-700 students and alumni at the Fall Career Expo in all majors and disciplines.

Payments for Fall Career Expo 2008

We will accept Checks, Purchase Orders and Credit Cards for payment for the event. Please see the details below for specific information.

Deadline to make payment to guarantee space is September 19, 2008. Any organization that has not made payment arrangements for their Registration Fees may lose their space for late registering companies.

If paying by credit card:

Once you complete your registration online, you will have the option to complete your credit card payment in one of three ways:

1. Send an email with the requested information to complete the transaction
2. Complete the Credit Card Authorization Form and either fax or scan and then email back
3. Request to process yoru Credit Card payment over the phone.

All credit card charges will appear on your statement as "ANOCSO - Association of New Orleans Career Services Offices"

Paperless Registration and Confirmation

All Registrations for the Fall Career Expo will take place in the Opportunities Database. There is no actual paper registration form for this event. You must register online.

Once your registration has been activated and confirmed by the Office of Career Development (in 12-24 hours), you will receive an email with an embedded link to your receipt and the confirmation packet. Please make sure you can accept pop-up/new windows to open when you click those two links. If you cannot get the receipt to open, send an email to leonard.williams@uno.edu to have a receipt/confirmation packet sent to you.

All Confirmations for the Fall Career Expo will be sent via email to the contact person who registered for the fair. Please be mindful who registers for the event. The packet will be sent as a PDF.

How to Register:

*Please note: The Office of Career Development sent an email to all contacts who attended a career fair at the University of New Orleans over the past 3 years. In that email, your username and password were included in the body of the document. The email was sent June 10, 2008

1. Verify that you have a username and password for the UNO Opportunities Database. If you do not have one, then you will need to create one by going to the New User Registration Page. You do NOT need to contact the Office of Career Development to create a username and password.

Remember, each user needs their OWN username and password...there is not one user/pass combination for an entire company.

If you have questions about the structure of the Opportunities Database, please visit the FAQ page for an explination.

2. Login to the Opportunities Database using your username and password.

3. Once in the system, click "Career Events" and then select "Fall Career Expo" to view more information about the event or click "Sign Up" to actually sign up.

4. Complete all necessary and requested information and then click "Submit"

5. The Office of Career Development will verify and activate your registration in 12-24 hours at the most. You will receive an email with your invoice and confirmation packet.
