Recruiting on Campus - Your source for future employees

Developing a college recruiting program may be challenging for those that are new to the process. Although there are some distinct similarities in recruiting college students and/or graduates and recruiting outiside of a college community, there are some vast differences.

The links below will give you access to pages that will explain the primary recruiting options available to you.

Developing an Internship Program
Interns at many companies are the life-blood for new employees. It allows a company to "try-out" a future employee before hiring them full-time.

Developing Jobs for College Students
College students and graduates seeking employment usually have unique needs that should be considerered before advertising on a college campus.

Developing an On Campus Recruiting Program
Most organizations identify candidates only through job postings and referrals. However, an on campus recruiting program may allow you to identify new candidates and save time in the process.

UNO - An Urban Institution
The University of New Orleans serves students in the greater New Orleans area as well as students from across the United States. Because our primary enrollment are local students, they are in many cases required to work and attend school at the same time. Sometimes the ability to participate in internships are difficult to manage, even if the opportunity is career related but does not allow for flexibility in scheduling. Students have declined to accept certain internship opportunities because of work and other commitments. Unlike students at a residential campus where most students live in dorms and are less dependent on jobs to go to school, the average UNO student works 25-40 hours a week while taking classes.
